# Save as PDF

> A PDF at the exact size in mm; barcodes, QR codes and lines are vectors.

Source: https://82label.app/en/docs/pdf/

Save a PDF when another PC prints, or for a print shop. Pages keep the paper size (one label for rolls, A4 for sheets); barcode bars, QR codes, lines and boxes are vectors, text and images are embedded at 600 dpi.

```js
import { toPDF, downloadPDF } from '@82label/core';
const blob = await toPDF(t, rows, { startAt: 3, qtyField: 'qty' }); // Blob (application/pdf)
await downloadPDF(t, rows, 'labels.pdf');                          // download it
```

- Options: `startAt`, `frames`, `serialStart`, `now`, `qtyField`, `textDpi` (default 600).
- Browser only (text is drawn with canvas); on a server it throws `PdfUnsupported`.
- The "Save PDF" buttons in [bulk print](https://82label.app/en/print/) and the designer use the same function.

> When printing the PDF, keep the dialog at 100% (actual size).
